The Science and Art of Human Excellence in Communication, Influence and Performance

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is both a science and an art: the science of understanding how people process information, and the art of recreating the behaviours of highly effective performers in business and social environments. This intensive 5-day programme equips leaders and professionals with practical tools to elevate communication, influence outcomes, manage emotions and build lasting relationships.

Through a structured and hands-on approach, participants will examine how top performers achieve results and learn how to adapt and replicate those behaviours across any situation. The course explores self-awareness, emotional intelligence, motivation, empathy and advanced social skills — all underpinned by real-world application and behavioural modelling.

Why This Course is Important

In today’s complex professional environment, technical expertise alone is not enough. Leaders must understand how people think, feel and respond under pressure. Miscommunication, unmanaged emotions and unconscious behavioural patterns can undermine performance at every level.

NLP provides a structured framework to understand thinking strategies, emotional triggers and motivational drivers. By learning how to model excellence and recreate high-performance states, professionals gain the ability to influence constructively, negotiate effectively, and foster trust across teams.

This course equips participants to transform emotional reactions into productive responses, create well-formed outcomes, and consistently perform at their best — individually and organisationally.

Who Should Attend

This programme is ideal for:

  • Leaders and professionals seeking to grow in personal power, authenticity and integrity
  • Managers wishing to communicate more effectively
  • Individuals aiming to motivate themselves and inspire their teams
  • Professionals seeking to develop constructive thinking habits
  • HR and culture champions committed to emotionally healthy, productive workplaces

It is particularly valuable for those responsible for influencing others, shaping organisational culture, or driving performance through communication.

What You Will Learn

Day 1 – Self Awareness Key NLP concepts, links between NLP and Emotional Intelligence, connecting with your feelings, eliciting emotions, recognising unconscious messages, self-talk, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, and internal vs external referencing.

Day 2 – Self Regulation Self-confidence, overcoming self-limiting beliefs, time-lining, managing fears and phobias, sub-modalities, perceptual positions, creating well-formed outcomes, anchoring and building high-performance states.

Day 3 – Motivation Logical levels of change, eliciting values for yourself and your organisation, the secrets of motivation, goal setting that energises, creating a positive future, testing well-formed outcomes and stepping into the future.

Day 4 – Empathy Sharpening sensory awareness, communicating first impressions, body language mastery, communication filters, understanding the science of lying, building rapport, climates of trust, and modelling excellence.

Day 5 – Social Skills Language and thinking patterns, eye movements and language, reframing as a persuasion tool, metaphors, perceptual positions, listening for clues, matching and mis-matching, and applying NLP tools in the workplace.

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how people process information and make decisions
  • Identify and elicit personal and organisational values
  • Recognise and interpret non-verbal communication
  • Manage self-limiting beliefs and build high-performance emotional states
  • Set motivating, well-formed outcomes and action plans
  • Build rapport and climates of trust
  • Apply perceptual positions to understand others more completely
  • Use reframing, metaphors and language patterns to persuade and inspire
  • Model excellence and replicate successful behavioural strategies

What participants say

1 / 3
  • The course gave me tools to understand motivation at a deeper level and to handle negotiation more confidently. The reframing techniques and listening strategies were particularly powerful. Five stars without hesitation.
Van Tung, IP Lawyer — Legal Services
  • The instructor blended science and real-world insight beautifully. The work on anchoring and high-performance states completely changed how I prepare for high-pressure meetings. I especially enjoyed the exercises on perceptual positions and modelling excellence.
Carl, Technical Lead — Additive Manufacturing
  • The speaker’s depth of expertise was exceptional. I learned how to recognise unconscious patterns in myself and others, and how to create well-formed outcomes that genuinely motivate teams. The sessions on rapport and body language were eye-opening.
    Moosa, Manager — Financial Services
