Consulting & Advisory Services

Expert insight. Practical solutions. Measurable improvement.

Many of NTUiTiV’s experienced trainers also work as consultants and advisers in their specialist fields. Where this applies, they may assist organisations with independent advice, practical industry experience and structured knowledge transfer, subject to specialist availability and agreed scope.

What consulting and advisory means at NTUiTiV

NTUiTiV is best known for its public courses and its bespoke in-company programmes. Alongside that work, a number of our course leaders are practising consultants, advisers and specialists in their own fields, and may be available to work directly with an organisation rather than only with delegates in a classroom.

Advisory work is not the same thing as training. Training builds capability in people. Advisory work looks at the organisation itself — how it is set up, where capability is thin, which risks it carries, and what would have to change for performance to improve. The two often belong together, and frequently one leads to the other.

Because our network spans engineering, finance, leadership, safety, digital and commercial disciplines, the breadth of specialism available is wide. Each specialist is engaged independently, so the advice you receive is not shaped by an obligation to sell you a particular course, system or supplier.

Independent by design

  • Advice from practitioners who still work in the field
  • No obligation to recommend a course, system or supplier
  • Scope, approach and expected outcomes agreed in writing first
  • A straight answer where we do not have the right specialist

All engagements are subject to specialist availability and agreed scope.

Areas where our specialists may be able to help

The nine areas below describe the work our network is most often asked about. They are illustrative rather than exhaustive, and every engagement is subject to specialist availability and agreed scope. If what you need is not listed here, it is still worth asking — tell us the challenge and we will say honestly whether we have the right person for it.

Training Needs Analysis & Workforce Capability Development

We may assist an organisation to establish what its people actually need to learn, rather than what a course catalogue happens to offer.

Organisational Capability & Performance Audits

Where it is useful to look at the organisation itself, our specialists may carry out an independent review of how work is currently done.

Project & Programme Management Consulting

Our project specialists may assist organisations that are setting up, strengthening or recovering major projects and programmes.

Leadership, Strategy & Organisational Transformation

Where an organisation is changing direction, our leadership specialists may assist with both the thinking and the people side of that change.

Technical, Engineering & Industrial Operations Consulting

Many of our course leaders are practising engineers and technical specialists, and may advise on operational and technical questions within their own field.

Health, Safety, Risk & Business Resilience

Our safety and risk specialists may assist an organisation to understand the risks it carries and how well prepared it would be.

Digital Transformation, AI & Cybersecurity

Where technology is the question, our digital specialists may advise on direction, risk and practicality rather than on buying a particular platform.

Finance, Procurement & Commercial Performance

Our commercial specialists may assist an organisation to understand and improve the financial and contractual side of its performance.

Customer Experience, Sales & Service Excellence

Where the relationship with customers is the issue, our specialists may assist with how service and sales are organised, measured and led.

Everything described above is offered subject to specialist availability and agreed scope. No accreditation, endorsement or past-client claim is implied by any of it.

From consultancy to capability development

Advisory work very often ends with the same finding: people need to be better equipped. That is the point at which training comes back into the conversation. Because the same network does both, the development that follows a review can be built on what the review actually found, rather than bought off a shelf.

A capability audit that becomes a training academy

A capability audit finds that supervisors have been promoted on technical ability, with no management development behind it. The finding leads to a tailored in-company programme — a supervisory academy run in cohorts across a year, built around the gaps the audit identified rather than a generic syllabus.

A project health check that becomes a shared language

A project health check finds that every department reports progress differently. The recommendation is a single governance approach, supported by in-company project management training, so that each team uses the same terms, the same stages and the same reporting from then on.

These are illustrative examples, not case studies. What follows a review is always agreed with you — and it may be no training at all.

Flexible consultancy arrangements

An engagement is sized to the question being asked. There is no standard package, and a short conversation is a perfectly reasonable place to start.

  • Short advisory input — a focused conversation, or a written opinion on one specific question
  • Focused audits — a defined review of a single area, with findings and recommendations
  • Project-based engagements — a specialist working alongside you for the length of a defined piece of work
  • Ongoing advisory retainers — periodic access to a specialist as questions arise
  • Advisory combined with training delivery — a review, followed by the development it points to

Fees, duration and availability are agreed before any work begins, and depend on the specialism involved. All arrangements remain subject to specialist availability and agreed scope.

An international network of specialist expertise

The specialists we draw on are not the staff of a single office. They are practising professionals based across the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and further afield — which is also why our courses run in cities on several continents.

That reach means advisory work may be delivered in person, remotely, or as a combination of the two, and that we can often find a specialist who has worked within the regulatory and commercial conditions of your own region. Availability varies, and we will be straightforward about it: where we do not have the right specialist for a question, we would rather say so than take the work.

Disciplines the network covers

  • Engineering, energy and industrial operations
  • Leadership, strategy and human resources
  • Finance, procurement and commercial management
  • Health, safety, environment and risk
  • Digital, data, AI and cyber security
  • Customer service, sales and marketing

The same disciplines run through our public course catalogue.

How an engagement begins

Five steps — and the first one costs nothing.

  1. Tell us the challenge you are trying to solve
  2. We explore your requirements in more detail
  3. We identify the right specialist expertise
  4. We agree scope, approach and expected outcomes
  5. Practical engagement begins, focused on measurable results

If you would rather read before you ask, our frequently asked questions explain how we work, and the public course catalogue shows the subjects our specialists teach.

Looking for expertise beyond the training room?

Describe the problem in your own words. If one of our specialists is the right person for it we will say so — and if not, we will tell you that too.
